Getting Started and Giving Back
Budweiser has been brewing in Houston since 1966. In that time, we’ve seen a lot of growth fueled by people who wanted more. People with a dream to become something bigger and the drive to take them there. This is the spirit of Houston and to be honest, it’s contagious.
As a salute to you, the hardworking Houstonian, Budweiser is embarking on its most ambitious Houston project yet. Right now, we’re brewing some inspiring videos, local keynote speeches, and a collaborative Budweiser brewery experience. For this, we will be tapping some of Houston’s best and brightest to share their story and their work. To add to Budweiser’s commitment to the city of Houston, we will also be giving back to Houston’s community of artists. In creating this project we’re proud to be teaming with the Houston Arts Alliance.
The Houston Arts Alliance enhances the city’s quality of life through advancing and investing in the arts and diverse cultural programming. The work of HAA encourages Houston’s development and shapes its global reputation by fostering tourism and supporting and promoting the city’s creative economy.
Our Pillars of Houston Culture
Budweiser is teaming up with local leaders of the following categories to inspire Houston’s next generation of creatives, entrepreneurs, and hustlers.
Houston’s art isn’t just in galleries, it’s on the streets. The people of Houston have come to respect graffiti as a viable form of art because they see its beauty first hand on their streets.
Houston’s fashion scene is just starting to take root. Local designers and bloggers are working to put Houston’s style of sundresses, leather, floral patterns, and rugged designs on the map.
Houston has a soundtrack like nowhere else. While most people know about Chopped and Screwed, there is more to it than that. Think Texas country, hip-hop, noise rock, metal, and Tejano.
